We are looking for a Parts Order Picker/Packer/Shipper to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential to ensuring that materials and finished parts are accurately picked, carefully packed, and efficiently shipped to customers and internal departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience supporting production and assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you’ll do
- Review and process parts orders through the Parts Order Dashboard, prioritizing by delivery date, rush order, or shipping method.
- Accurately pick parts and materials from stockroom inventory for production, assembly, and shipment.
- Verify parts and quantities against the packing slip and bill of materials before shipment.
- Coordinate with Production, Welding, and Assembly Departments to fulfill multi-department orders.
- Stage and photograph completed parts orders for quality assurance and customer documentation.
- Package parts for safe shipment, including pallet assembly, strapping, and protective packaging materials.
- Measure, weigh, and document shipment details, ensuring accuracy for freight, parcel, and international orders.
- Process domestic and international shipments via FedEx, UPS, DHL, and motor freight carriers.
- Generate and attach packing slips, shipping labels, and export documentation as required.
- Update order and production status in Flex Connect to reflect “Ready for Shipping” or appropriate stages.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records of shipped orders for reference and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the Stockroom and Inventory Control team.
Basic qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1–3 years of warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing workflows and inventory processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in basic computer operations and data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for long periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or DHL systems is a plus.
