Summary:

An ideal candidate would have a building maintenance background with mechanical and electrical knowledge.  This position is responsible for supporting all the facilities’ maintenance and repairs.

General Duties:

• An integral member of the maintenance department performing daily tasks to help maintain the safe operation of the facility, office and production related equipment
• Utilize skills to repair facility, Production machinery, minor plumbing, HVAC, Air Compressors, minor electrical work, minor carpentry projects, ground maintenance, etc.
• Work with the Facilities Management to recommend facility repairs
• General upkeep duties including recycling and refuse removal, general housekeeping
• Perform periodic safety inspections on building fire alarm, lighting, and other safety systems
• Practices safe work processes and contributes to the creation/maintenance of a safe working environment for self and others
• Organize & assist direct contractors as they perform their work required
• Safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Order & retrieve Production supplies, repair parts, other items of need
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work alone and with others in a Production environment throughout a normal day
• Ability to communicate effectively with all Flexicon personnel
• Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with mild supervision
• Ability to operate a forklift and personnel lift
• Able to work at heights up to 25 feet and in confined spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to stand, crouch, kneel or walk for extended periods of time. Crouching, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying will be a regularity
• Must always be alert and aware of surroundings in a fast-paced Production environment
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing effectively
• Must be able to display a professional attitude and appearance
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be proficient in hand & power tool use

Education/Previous Work Experience:

• HS diploma or GED equivalent
• A vocational/trade school certificate in specific trades such as maintenance mechanic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry (job experience may be substituted)
• Additional experience gained through hands-on job experience
