Manual Dumping Station for Pneumatic Conveyors

Collects dust created during manual dumping operations

Flexicon's Manual Dumping Station for pneumatic conveying systems collects dust created during manual dumping of powder and bulk solid materials from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers.

The hopper is configured with a variable speed rotary airlock valve for metering material into positive- or negative-pressure pneumatic conveyor lines. Hoppers are also available configured for connection to a flexible screw conveyor, or other conveyors or process equipment.

The unit features a high velocity vacuum fan that draws airborne dust from the operator's atmosphere onto two cartridge filters. Automatic reverse-pulse filter cleaning allows continuous, efficient operation; timer activated solenoid valves release short blasts of compressed plant air inside cartridge filters causing dust build-up on the outer filter surfaces to fall into the hopper.

Filters are accessed easily by removing the interior baffle, and replaced rapidly using quick-disconnect fittings.

All manual dumping stations are available mounted on frames with boom and casters for in-plant mobility.

These systems can reduce material waste and eliminate the need to clean a remote dust collection site, while protecting workers and preventing plant contamination.

All are available in carbon steel with durable industrial coating, or stainless steel in industrial or sanitary finish.

This hopper is configured with a non-flow-through pick-up adapter for negative-pressure pneumatic conveyor lines. Other configurations allow connection to flexible screw conveyors or other conveyors and process equipment.
